Sam's work has been seen and celebrated by millions of people around the globe, galvanizing audiences into action by presenting them with beautifully crafted, well-told stories made in collaboration with an international network of industry leaders and former students who Sam herself trained through 15 years of teaching at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism and 5 years at Stanford’s Knight Fellowship. As the founder of GUSH Productions, and co-founder of the arts nonprofit Moving People Media, Sam’s work explores themes of identity, ethics, truth, memory, connection, the female gaze, family, and the role of the media in society.
